Trysil is a fantastic place for families all year round. In winter, there are slopes for both beginners and more experienced skiers, with very friendly instructors at the ski school if you’d like lessons. You can also try husky sled rides or ice fishing, and if you want a break from the snow, the nearby Radisson hotel offers an indoor pool and spa. In summer, the mountain is perfect for hiking, biking, and blueberry picking. Within walking distance you’ll find a golf course and driving range, mini golf, a climbing park, and plenty of spots to swim or go canoeing. Whatever the season, there are lots of restaurants to choose from—easy takeaway, cosy family meals, or a special dinner out.

Getting around Fjellvangvegen 11 is easy. A car is convenient for exploring Trysil and the surrounding areas, but public transport is available, with the nearest bus stop within walking distance and connections to Trysil town center and other local destinations. The closest airport is Oslo Airport (Gardermoen), about a 3-hour drive away; from there you can rent a car or take a bus to Trysil.
